But since the birth of my two kids I have kicked ‘dieting‘ out the window to focus on healthy living by changing the way I eat and live! How to Succeed in Losing Weight

When it comes to setting a target for your weight loss project it is good to be realistic. You should forget the ideal body image of fashion magazines because that image is very extreme and definitely not healthy. Slight overweight is actually healthier than being excessively underweight.

A better goal is a healthy lifestyle in a body in which you feel good about yourself. The target weight depends of course on many factors and is very individual, but a some kind of a rule of thumb is to set your target at a 5 to 10 % weight loss. Realistically thinking some of the weight will probably creep back on, so it´s better to set the target at 10 %, because than the lasting weight loss will probably be about 5 %.
It is also healthier to lose less weight and keep the weight off than lose a huge amount of weight very quickly and than put the weight back on just as quickly. A good tip is to first set some smaller goals and then work your way to the big target number. Yoga is a wonderful exercise option that has become very popular in past years. Yoga has its roots in India and in addition to being a way of exercising your body it´s also a mental discipline. Here are some tips for beginners that can make your yoga experience more enjoyable.

The ideal time for a yoga session is either early in the morning before breakfast or in the evening. You should not eat anything more than a small snack right before going to class or doing a session at home. Actually it is advisable not to eat for 2 hours before doing yoga, because a heavy meal will make it harder and make you feel heavy.  You should also always go to the toilet before class to empty your bowel and bladder.
When doing yoga you shouldn´t expect to master the hard poses right away. There´s a reason they are called hard! Instead you should concentrate on the easier poses first and really master them before trying the more difficult ones. That way you will ease your way into the harder poses.

So by eating a balanced breakfast you insure you have the energy needed for the day´s tasks. For example porridge is a wonderful choice for breakfast, but it´s good to vary your meals according to the seasons, so that way you won´t get bored always eating the same thing.
During the day you should eat lunch and dinner and maybe have a healthy afternoon snack. As the day starts to turn into evening you should lessen your intake of food and also lighten your diet. Meals of the Day

One way of making reaching a healthy diet is making sure you eat all your meals. That is easy with Valueslim. Here is a reminder of a day´s meals although the customs can of course differ from country to country:
